ALERT St. Lucie Notifications
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office utilizes the ALERT St. Lucie Emergency Notification System to deliver emergency and non-emergency pre-recorded phone messages to citizens.

Citizens Academy
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office encourages citizen interest and involvement in the law enforcement process and daily activities of its deputies. To assist in educating citizens, the agency offers a Citizens Academy.

Citizens Observation Patrol (COP)

Explorer Post 400
The purpose of Law Enforcement Exploring is to provide young adults with an effective program designed to build positive character traits, develop personal and mental fitness as well as promote active citizenship.

In partnership with the Martin County Sheriff's Office, the Eye Watch program is an online database of homes and businesses that have external security cameras.

House Watch Program
Since the risk of home burglaries increases with property vacancy, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office provides residents the option to receive house checks when they are away from their homes.

Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is an effective and inexpensive method of preventing crime and reducing fear among citizens. It can forge bonds between residents and improve relations between law enforcement and the community.

Project: L.O.S.T.
L.O.S.T. is a collaboration between law enforcement and community organizations that specialize in neuro-cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's, Autism, Dementia and more.

Safe Business Initiative
In partnership with the Allstate Foundation, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office developed the Safe Business Initiative Program to assist in preventing and reducing criminal activity in the business community.
