Obtaining Incident and Accident Reports

The Records Unit of the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office is located at 4700 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. The unit is open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. To speak with a records clerk, please call (772) 462-3299.

As a courtesy to citizens, a copy of an incident or accident report is free of charge. Lengthy record searches and/or a request for a sizeable number of reports require a charge of $0.15 per copy page plus postage. In some cases, clerical charges may apply.

Requests made via United States Postal Service need only to be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Due to the volume of requests for reports, the extended length of some reports, and the confidentiality of suspect information, it is our policy that reports will not be faxed.

In accordance with Florida Statute 316.066, traffic accident reports are confidential and exempt from release for a period of 60 days unless a signed release is produced from an individual involved in the accident.
