Update: St. Lucie County Sheriff's detectives are looking for 55-year-old man in connection with the apparent homicide of a north county homeless man, according to Sheriff Mascara
Detectives of the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office are looking for 55-year-old James Adrian Westberry in connection with the homicide of a homeless north county white male in his 50s, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"James Adrian Westberry is 55-year-old white male," Sheriff Mascara said. "I am asking anyone who knows where he is to call 9-1-1 in St. Lucie County immediately. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds and has long brown hair, possibly in a ponytail. He was last seen in southern Indian River County wearing a ball cap, a white shirt and blue jeans, and he was carrying a backpack.

The body of a homeless man was discovered by a passerby near U.S.1 just before 7 tonight, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"The man apparently lived in some woods behind the gas station at 6315 North U.S.1, where the body was found," Sheriff Mascara said. "It appears that the body had been there for around two days and that the man died of some kind of trauma."

The victim was clothed when the body was found. He is a white male in his 50s. = = =
