St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces personal defense program for women starting Sept. 24 with advance registration required
R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) is an empowering program that affords women an opportunity to enhance personal defense.
The goal of the program is to develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked. R.A.D. is taught by St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies who are certified R.A.D. instructors. Minimum age for this program is 13 years. Minors must be accompanied by a female adult relative.
Classes will be at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, 4700 W. Midway Road, Fort Pierce. Classes will meet in the Roll Call Room.
Course fee is $40 per person, and $20 for each additional family member.
