"Working Out for a Cause" May 17 will benefit families of wounded or deceased officers
The May 17 "Working Out for a Cause" event will benefit the St. Lucie County fund that supports the families of emergency services officers wounded or killed in the line of duty.

Working Out for a Cause will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, 9221 Civic Center Plaza, Port St. Lucie, just south of Walton Road on U.S.1 (http://goo.gl/maps/HfD5i).

The event's entrance fee is $10 per child and adult with proceeds going to the Hundred Club of St. Lucie County (100clubslc.org.) The event is sponsored by the Hundred Club and Crossfit Triple D of Port St. Lucie  (crossfittripled.com).

Working Out for a Cause will feature a 1.66K Sgt. Gary Morales Memorial Run/Walk around the Civic Center to honor the memory of St. Lucie County Sheriff's Sgt. Gary Morales who lost his life in the line of duty Feb. 28.

The event also will feature a free drink, hot dog and chips with a paid registration, an XBox 360 giveaway and a live DJ provided by T-Rex Entertainment. Also, helicopter rides will be available for a small fee, and there will be a bounce house and other activities for the children.
