One of the victims of a Monday morning house fire has died at an Orlando hospital, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
"The deceased is Barbara Andrews Ponders, 69, of 2270 North 25th Street, where the fire took place," Sheriff Mascara said. "On behalf of the Sheriff's Office, I want to offer my sympathies to the family."
Two other victims were flown to out-of-town hospitals. Antonio Anthenesia Andrews, 33, also of 2270 North 25th Street, was treated at the scene by St. Lucie County Fire Rescue personnel and was not hospitalized, Sheriff Mascara said.
The St. Lucie County Fire District and the state Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
