St. Lucie County Sheriff Mascara announces arrest of John Gehr Wilson for attempted murder and burglary with assault or battery
Following this morning's events in the 6400 block of Oleander Avenue in unincorporated St. Lucie County, the Sheriff's Office has arrested John Gehr Wilson, 29 (DO B 10/14/1980), of Port St. Lucie, for attempted murder and burglary with assault or battery, according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.
"After deputies arrested Mr. Wilson this morning, he was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute, where he was treated, released and brought to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office's headquarters building on Midway Road," Sheriff Mascara said. "Deputies and members of the Port St. Lucie Police Department questioned Mr. Wilson. He was taken to the St. Lucie County jail where he will be held without bond until a court appearance Tuesday morning."
Sheriff Mascara said: "The Sheriff's Office is working with the Port St. Lucie Police Department to further investigate the case. Because of the continuing investigation, we will not release additional information at this time other than the arrest affidavit."
