Commendations External Awards

Major Mike Monahan began his career at the age of 20 with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office. He has been assigned to jail, patrol, investigative and administrative duties. He has been a supervisor in the Jail , the Special Investigations Unit, and Administrative Support Division.

Major Monahan has previously served as the Patrol Operations Division Commander and the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. As the Director of Law Enforcement, he oversees law enforcement operations for the agency.

Major Monahan holds Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees and is an honors graduate of the Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Course at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Ky.
